What are the trends in women’s clothing for spring 2005?
The move towards a more refined elegant look continues but for spring 2005 it is updated with softer lines and lighter fabrics. Jackets are shorter and more fitted at the waist or done in a tunic style. Skirts are the “IT” item for the season. Long or just below the knee, they are full, silky and should flow when you walk. Scenic patterns, polka dots and other prints are most important. Bohemian looks are a new trend – peasant skirts, tunics, crocheted fabrications and embroidery are all very “in”. Pink and green still dominate, but turquoise is the new fresh spring color. The palette is colorful but soft. Innovative accessories such as scarves, brooches and colorful leather handbags complete the look.
